Terms for using ChatFile.

Use of ChatFile

ChatFile helps you connect local files, browser pages, and web AI chats. You are responsible for the folders you authorize, the content you send to AI services, the providers you configure, and the outputs you choose to save or apply.

Local file access

You must only grant ChatFile access to folders and files you are allowed to use. ChatFile may read authorized folders to build local indexes and prepare context. ChatFile does not intentionally delete original files from disk. File write actions require a reviewed write proposal and your approval.

AI output and review

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, or unsuitable for your project. You should review generated text, code, data, and file changes before relying on them, sharing them, or applying them to local files.

Third-party services

ChatFile can work with third-party web AI pages, API providers, Supabase, payment providers, browser APIs, and website hosting providers. Those services are not controlled by ChatFile and may change their availability, behavior, pricing, limits, terms, or privacy practices.

ChatFile Pro does not include third-party AI subscriptions, API credits, or paid plans for external AI websites.

Accounts, Pro features, and billing

Some features may require sign-in or Pro entitlement. Feature availability, limits, pricing, and billing terms may change. Payment checkout is handled by the payment provider. If a payment or entitlement problem occurs, contact support at [email protected].

Acceptable use

You may not use ChatFile to violate laws, infringe rights, bypass access controls, extract data you are not allowed to access, attack third-party services, or send sensitive data to providers without proper authorization.

Service changes

ChatFile may update, add, remove, pause, or discontinue features as the product evolves or as browser and third-party AI platforms change. We may update these terms and will revise the update date when material changes are made.

Disclaimer

ChatFile is provided as-is, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular use. To the extent permitted by law, ChatFile is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
